GQ threw their annual “Men of the year” event last night and the stars were out. Michael Sam may no longer play for the Rams, but he still has a connection to the area and has been very interested in the situation unfolding recently in Ferguson. Dave Chappelle has also been very focal on Ferguson and even recently made it part of his stand up show. While the two were at the awards last night they made sure to show their support for Mike Brown, Ferguson and protesters. Hit the jump.

Don’t shoot!” Artist Macklemore took part in the chanting taken in hometown Seattle on Monday evening, following the grand jury decision to not indict Darren Wilson for the shooting of Mike Brown. Although the “Thrift Shop” rapper attempted to blend in with the rest of the marching protesters, a King 5 cameraman spotted him head on. “It’s not about me. It’s about Mike Brown,” Macklemore mentioned to keep the focus on why he was on the scene. Drop down for more.

Not your mascot!” began gathering on the University of Minnesota’s TCF Bank Stadium on Sunday morning to stage what they hope will be the largest-ever protest against the name of the Washington Redskins.

Fast Food Strike Gone Wild – Arrests In The Thousands!!!

In a stand to go from $7.25 an hour to $15 an hour, McDonalds, Wendy’s and Burger King workers go on strike all across the globe. The protests turned into arrests today in New York City’s Times Square as the demonstrators sat in the middle of the streets and blocked traffic. 14 men and five women were taken down by police. It’s not just New York state where these strikes are taking place. Workers in more than 100 cities across the country have participated in the strike to make a higher earning. Detroit, Chicago and Las Vegas have taken part. It’s even gone as far as the strikers leaving their cities to form bigger crowds in other cities. St. Louis and Ferguson, MO workers took plane and train trips paid for by the striker’s coalition and SEIU to NYC. Check down bottom for more.
