One of Hollywood’s top directors, unanimously known for using the N-word heavenly in his films, Quentin Tarantino shows his critics that he indeed supports the cause against the abusive power of some police officers through his attendance at the rally in Washington Square Park against “police terror” Saturday evening. Protesters held signs reading “Rise Up! Stop Police Terror!” and “Murder with a badge is still murder.” He helped lead the “Say Their Names” rally with hundreds gathered to chant the names of 250 people of color killed by police violence, with an emphasis on paying homage to one of the most horrific victims Tamir Rice.

Yesterday, (August 8th) on the the anniversary of Mike Brown’s death, a peaceful protest made its way through the streets of Ferguson, Mo. The march was led by Brown’s father, Mike Brown Sr., to honor his son who was killed by a police officer last year. The protest was peaceful on all accounts, children played and officers handed out popsicles to the protestors to keep them cool. Just about 100 people attended the march, which traveled from Canfield Green Apartments, where Brown was shot, to Normandy High School, his alma mater where he graduated from just days before his death. R&B crooner Tyrese recently dropped yet another album full of panty-dropping goodies for his fans called Black Rose, available via iTunes, and all he wants is his music to be heard. However according to the TGT singer, white radio is NOT giving him any air play! Tyrese stood outside of the iHeart Radio studios and began protesting, drawing a large crowd. He was saying that he just wants his music to be heard from people of all races, and he feels like they’re not giving him a chance due to the color of his skin. The protest was growing so quickly that the cops were dispatched to the scene, giving Tyrese a ticket for blocking traffic. See some video from the protest below.
