(Video) Students & Police Clash At City College Of New York In Harlem!

The New York Post reports:

City College officials have taken back a controversial student center named for two infamous killer activists at their uptown campus, prompting hundreds of students to storm the building Monday afternoon. Shouting, “We’re not leaving until they give it back!” the students amassed at the North Academic Center at 136th Street and Convent Avenue, where up until midnight Saturday, the Morales/Shakur Center had been on the third floor since 1990. “The Morales/Shakur Center has been under siege by the CUNY administration for 25 years, and they unexpectedly seized it Saturday night without consulting with anyone who participates in the center,’’ said Taf Sourov, 18, a sophomore at CCNY who was one of the protest’s organizers. “We said that we would mobilize to defend our community space, and we did, and we brought out hundreds and hundreds of people. “We had to infiltrate our own school building and occupy the rotunda for a while and raise people’s morale, setting the atmosphere for further organizing,’’ Sourov said. “The real question is, what’s going to happen next?” The protestors stayed for a little over an hour and vowed to return in the evening. The students were given the space as part of a settlement after a protest over a tuition hike in 1989, according to media reports. They promptly named it after Puerto Rican-nationalist bomber Willie Morales and Black Liberation Army member Joanne Chesimard, aka Assata Shakur, who killed a New Jersey state trooper in 1973 — creating outcry from cops…

Unfortunately, the armed forces have taken it into their hands to clear these sit-ins by firing at the masses and killing scores of Egyptians. These enraging actions have already been condemned by the United States, who ask the government to respect peaceful assembly and due process under law. The following photos will break your heart and are extremely graphic. Find them in the gallery.

Tyga Performs At Harvard University Despite Protest

Lately rappers have been coming under fire for violently misogynistic lyrics, Rick Ross was dropped from Reebok after some of his lyrics in a Rocko song U.O.E.N.O. where some of what Ross says has been interpreted ro mean rape. It seems the subject is extra touchy after the Steubenville trial and many other acts of date rape becoming more regular in culture. A protest to keep Tyga from performing was petitioned with over 2,000 signatures but it seems the good people at Harvard like to make it nasty. Tyga took to twitter to thank the good people at Harvard, and sent a gentle jab at Fox news who were portrayed the Los Angeles rapper in a very negative light recently. Hit the jump for more.

(Audio) Hot 97 Talks Everyday Racism – Native American Yells, “We Didn’t Invite None Of You!” During Protest

Racism is one of my biggest pet peeves, and by any means am I condoning it when I say that – this Native American is funny! So, a bunch a protestors were holding up signs and expressing their feelings on illegal immigrants. What they did not expect was for a Native American to walk by and tell them that they were the ones who were illegal. After screaming, “We didn’t invite none of you,” he says that his people were the originators of this country. Is he speaking the truth or is he just a racist. I mean he was minding his own business, while pushing a stroller. Drop down bottom and let us know.
