Los Angeles’ biggest hip-hop station Power 106 announced this morning the lineup for their annual summer kickoff concert, Powerhouse. It’ll be a packed house on May 17th at The Honda Center in L.A., with performances from Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez, Trey Songz, Wiz Khalifa, ScHoolboy Q, Isaiah Rashad, YG, Childish Gambino, Juicy J and Sage the Gemini. I’m sure there will be plenty of surprises in there as well! Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 11th.

It’s undeniable, Meek Mill’s first album, Dreamchasers was a banger! I’m still going crazy off of that intro! The Philly rapper showed up to Philly’s Powerhouse and spoke with Power 99’s Mina Say What and Mutha Knows. After Meek’s adorable son, Papi demanded camera time, he filled us in on when to expect his the second album, his ‘dating’ situation right now, the Kendrick Lamar twitter beef and who he’s like to work with on this second album. “Uh, like Jay Z…Rihanna, M.I.A.,” Meek mentions who he’d like to be featured on the album. He’s really trying to hook-up with Alicia Keys. “I got a song that would fit her perfect.” The song is titled, “Black Roses” and it’s something different from the ‘normal’ Meek. Love on the track. Philly was a mass of celebrities and their fans last night. The annual Powerhouse show had many in attendance from the city’s own Meek Mill – who bought French Montana, Rozay and Nicki Minaj to the stage – to who seems to be his arch nemesis, K.Dot and others such as Wale, Mario, K. Michelle, Big Sean, Yo Gotti and many more! It was fire, and it looked as if everyone enjoyed themselves. I mean it is a huge a**! Before all the drama popped off at Heat Ultra Lounge, Chris Brown took the stage in L.A. for Power 106’s Powerhouse. The controversial artist followed acts such as Big Sean, Tyga, A$AP Rocky, and Future, but when it was his turn, he performed plenty of hits. Hits like, “Take it to the Head,” when he then surprised the audience with special guest, Nicki Minaj. CB took advantage of the moment and got to cup that booty Nicki’s towing. On Friday, I hit up Power 99’s annual Powerhouse concert, and there were plenty of surprises that night! Though they were on the bill separately, Rick Ross surprised the crowd when he brought out French Montana and Usher during his set, amping the crowd with performances of their hits “Pop That” and “Touch’N You,” respectively. Lil Wayne gave fans and friends quite a scare over the weekend when the hard-working rapper suffered back to back seizures, both on his private jet. The situation was eerily similar to Rick Ross’ health scare in 2011, and Wayne has since been on doctor-mandated rest at his mom’s house.
