Last night, 50 Cent held the official screening for season two of “Power” and invited members of the press to enjoy the show. Afterwards, the exclusive audience got an opportunity to speak with the cast in a Q&A hosted by MTV’s Rob Markman. 50 Cent also spoke to several publications about why his show outshines other shows **cough cough** “Empire.” Find out why he thinks his show is better after the jump! Hip Hop Wired got the opportunity to speak with 50 Cent about the second season of his TV series “Power.” The Starz production has garnered a lot of national attention, especially after its rival series “Empire” aired last year. 50 has been known to fire shots at the FOX series starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson. However, Fif has taken a more mature approach by acknowledging the success of both shows. “The pressure was for Empire to have success period, because we came first,” 50 said. “Empire’s success is great. I’m happy because it adds focus to not just African-Americans but other ethnicities being able to play lead roles and have huge audiences.” 50 also feels that the amount of competition that has developed over time is good for both shows.
