NFL: Ray Lewis Believes the Super Bowl Blackout Was Done on Purpose to Help the 49ers
Everybody remembers the outage that occurred during the third quarter of Super Bowl XLVII. The Baltimore Ravens led 28-6 after a 108 yard kickoff return by Jacoby Jones. Then the lights in the Superdome went out and delayed the game for 34 minutes. When it came back on the San Francisco 49ers had a miraculous comeback and scored 17 unanswered points. While many thought Beyonce’s elaborate halftime show caused the outage, some had other conspiracy theories including Ray Lewis. Read more after the jump.

The power outage at the Super Bowl is still being investigated but NFL commish Roger Goodell did make a statement that clears Beyonce’s halftime performance as the reason for the blackout. This storm kind of just crept up on us. Last night, thousands had lost power in the D.C area. Earlier this morning, it was reported that millions of people were without electricity. Along the east coast, the temperatures were scorching hot today, I can only imagine how people are feeling. Now it has been reported that 13 people are dead because of this storm.
