It seems like the police force is waging a silent war against minorities nationwide and their badges grant immunity. Missouri officers are under fire for shooting and killing an unarmed teenager in Ferguson County. 18 year old Michael Brown was en route to his grandmother’s home when he was killed at 2:15 p.m. It has not been reported what caused the tragic incident. Several witnesses state that officers opened fire on Brown and once he was hit, he put his hands in the air and begged for them not to shoot. Upon surrendering, officers walked up on the teenager and opened fire again until the victim was dead. Residents are up in arms, with 200 angry protesters taking over the streets of Ferguson. Brown’s mother and step-father were amongst the protesters, holding a sign that stated “Ferguson police just executed my unarmed son!!!”. SMFH! (Video) SMFH: Naked Woman Dragged Outside Her Home By NYPD For “Beating Up Daughter”?!
The NYPD can’t seem to handle anything right! Footage of a 48 year old grandmother, being dragged out of her Brownsville home naked by male police officers, has been added to the list of disturbing videos involving the NYPD. Earlier this month, Denise Stewart answered her door to officers responding to a domestic disturbance call. When she tried to shut the door because she was only covered with a towel, she was yanked into the hallway with over 10 male cops. While she was being cuffed, her towel slipped and exposed her naked body. For almost 3 minutes, Stewart stood in the hallway (only wearing panties) as she pleaded for her oxygen to prevent an asthma attack. As officers proceeded to arrest her two sons and two daughters in the home, the grandmother fainted on the hallway floor. The officers claim they got a call to the address without a apartment number, but stated Stewart’s 12 year old daughter was bruised up and confessed she had been hit with a belt. When the pre-teen refused to be taken from the home, she was arrested after kicking out a patrol car’s window. In addition to the disgusting arrests, a 4 year old in the home was allegedly pepper sprayed by officers. Children’s Services were called to the home, where they found no evidence of abuse/neglect and stated they would not back officers claims! SMFH. (Video) SMH: NYPD Suspends Brooklyn Cop For Stomping On Subdued Man’s Head!
Thank God for the video feature on cell phones! Looks like another bad cop is facing the heat for his wrongful actions during an arrest. Recently, the NYPD suspended Officer Joel Edouard after arresting a man and then stomping on his head as he lay on the ground. This incident occurred in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn after police allegedly witnessed 32 year old Jahmiel Cuffee rolling a marijuana joint. In the footage both officers are seen putting Cuffee under arrest and at one point Edouard even pulls out his gun, as he and his partner lay over the man. After back up arrives and the 32 year old lays on his stomach, Edouard is seen stomping on Cuffee’s head. The issue with the NYPD is not a racial issue, as officer suspended of misbehavior is a minority, but instead one of injustice! NYPD’s motto is: “Courtesy, Professionalism, and Respect”. Spike Lee Releases Video Combining Tragic NYPD Chokehold Of Father & Scene From ‘Do The Right Thing’
The viral video of 43 year old Eric Garner dying at the hands of a chokehold placed by the NYPD has hit the heart of many, including legendary director and NY’er Spike Lee. Spike Lee has released a video mash up of the tragic footage caught, mixed with the notorious scene from ‘Do The Right Thing’; where Radio Raheim dies at the hands of officers. (Video) Update: NYPD Officer Involved In Eric Garner’s Death Placed On Desk Duty!
Has justice been served? The NYPD officer, Daniel Pantaleo, responsible for putting Eric Garner in a chokehold has been placed on desk duty. Pantaleo, an 8 year veteran, has also been stripped of his badge and gun. The death of the man while in police custody has sparked demonstrations from angry Staten Island residents, claiming the precinct is prejudice and committed murder. Al Sharpton has even lent his support to the surviving family of Garner and has spoken out about the violations from the officers during the arrest, including the illegal chokehold.
