According to the Andy Worhol Museum in Pittsburgh, the work of Andy Worhol will get a new home at a location in New York’s Lower East Side. The museum recently acquired 28 digital images that Warhol had saved on a ancient floppy disk system that almost deemed the pictures unredeemeable. Although construction on the N.Y. location has not started as yet, the museum is slated to open in 2017.
Wow, Mac Miller Officially Leaves Rostrum Records!
Mac Miller came into the game on Rostrum Records, the independent label from his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA that he shared with fellow Pittsburgh star, Wiz Khalifa. However, after 4 years together, Mac has decided not to renew his now-expired contract. It’s still nothing but love, though! “Rostrum is my family. That is forever,” Miller said in a statement to MTV. “No matter what, we will always work together. We moved mountains and I can only see them continuing that tradition. I am grateful for everything I learned and am always here for whatever.” After selling 5.4 million singles, more than 750k albums and scoring a successful reality show on MTV 2 while with the label, you can do nothing but respect that Mac wants to move on to even bigger heights! (Video) Wiz Khalifa’s Uncle Murdered In Pittsburgh Shooting; Wiz Reacts
Wiz Khalifa’s 20-year-old uncle, Imani Porter, was killed last night from a single gunshot to the head while sitting in a car in the parking lot of a Steak ‘n Shake at The Waterfront near his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. According to detectives, two African American men took off on foot and were then picked up down the road along Waterfront Drive by an older, white Pontiac Bonneville. Police are actively searching for the 2 suspects. They also reveal there was heroin found in the car that Imani was shot in, as well as in the parking lot, so they believe that is a part of the motive. I did a quick web search hoping to find some photos of Imani, and though nothing came up, I did find this record of an arrest in 2011, also drug-related. “My uncle was younger and more level headed than all of us. Reports Of Shooting Near Brashear High School In Pittsburgh
At around 3:00 eastern time, Shepard Smith reported on a shooting near Brashear High School in Pittsburgh. Three people were shot off campus and two of them ran into the high school. The school is now on lock down. Police are on the look out for the suspect off of the school grounds, in the woods. One of the injured was found on an avenue nearby and is being treated by paramedics. Find out more after the jump..
