It’s with heavy hearts that we reported the death of hip-hop legend Big Kap. At the age of 45, DJ Big Kap is described as “a true legend and pioneer in the hip-hop game.” While his cause of death remains unknown at this time, he will forever be remembered for helping launch Biggie Smalls’ career in the 1990s. Following Stacey Dash’s declaration that Black History Month should be cancelled right along with the BET network, the internet came to the conclusion that she would be traded for someone who’s not only white but “woke” to the importance of having these celebrations of black culture. In a hilarious meme, Dash was traded for none other than comedian Gary Owen who took great pride in the news. Upon seeing the meme, he wrote on IG “Is everyone ok with this trade? Let me know so I can call my publicist & get a statement prepared.” Clearly, everyone seemed to be okay with the trade because Owen posted a hilarious statement to celebrate his first Black History Month, poking fun at Stacey Dash yesterday. Justin Bieber was spotting over the weekend drinking alone in an unlikely place. According to TMZ, Bieber stopped in the well-known gay bar, Club Cobra on Saturday at around 9 PM accompanied by one bodyguard. After ordering one beer, he snapped a photo with the bouncer before leaving around 10PM, probably on his way to his impromptu performance at 1OAK. According to the bouncer, noneone was there, except for the bartender and staff and he was pretty sure The Biebz didn’t know it was a gay bar. Luckily enough for him, the bar which hosts parties like Wayback Wednesdays and Forbidden Fridayz, doesn’t get popping’ until like 10:30ish. Click the gallery for photos.

In 2012, Roc-A-Fella co-founder, Kareem “Biggs” Burke was sentenced to five years in federal prison after pleading guilty to charges of drug and conspiracy. After severing a majority of his sentence he was quietly released in November of last year. Recently, Biggs make his first major public appearance at a clothing event in NYC. He was in good company, photographed with the likes of Cam’ron, Pusha T, and DJ Clark Kent. No word on his plans going forward but it’s great to see him back in the game. It seems that for Rihanna fans the wait for her highly anticipated album ‘ANTI’ is finally almost over. After several potential released dates and came and passed with still no sign of the album, and songwriter Sia revealing that Rihanna was still searching for songs at the end of last year fans were left frustrated feeling like it would never come. However, Monday (January 25th) RiRi posted a flawless selfie, wearing Napa Leather Rhinestone headphones telling fans she’s currently listening to the new album. While details about her eighth studio album still remain sparse, it only seems fitting that the album will drop sooner than later as the kick off to her ‘ANTI’ World Tour with Travi$ Scott is just one month away.
