(Video) NBA: Gerald Green Throws Sick Alley-Oop Off the Backboard to Himself!

I always wondered why the Indiana Pacers had Gerald Green rotting on the bench but now he’s with the Phoenix Suns and showing all skills.  The Suns defeated the Portland Trailblazers 109-93 last night as they fight for the 7th or 8th spot with the Dallas Mavericks and Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference.  Green dropped a game high 32 points along with 5 rebounds and 2 assists like this one he threw to himself.

(Video) NBA: Fan Hits Halfcourt Shot to Win $77,777 & Gets Mobbed By Suns Players

The Phoenix Suns have had this promotion at home games for several years.  A fan gets to choose a shot from one of three spots on the floor to win either $777 for making a free throw, $7,777 for making a three-pointer, or $77,777 for draining a halfcourt shot.  The fan decided to go all in by attempting the halfcourt shot and it paid off big time!

NBA: Suns & Lakers to Resume Pau Gasol Trade Talks

Pau Gasol has been the topic of trade talks for a couple years now and apparently it’s resumed again.  This season is pretty much lost for the Lakers and they want draft picks to help rebuild the team.  While Gasol is a viable player, the Suns were rightfully so reluctant to give the Lakers a first round pick for the aging, and oft injured forward.  It looks like they may soon come to an agreement however.

NBA: Phoenix Suns Have ‘Serious Interest’ in Rudy Gay if He Becomes a Free Agent

If he chooses to opt out of his $19.3 million contract next season, Rudy Gay will become a free agent.  While some players choose the big pay day for one season, most opt out to secure a more long term deal.  Well if Gay decides to opt out there’s at least one team that’s willing and ready to pay him.

NBA Report: Phoenix Suns Willing to Trade 2014 Draft Pick in Order to Win Now

I don’t think anyone predicted the Phoenix Suns being playoff contenders but they’ve started the season off pretty well and are currently the sixth seed in the Western Conference.  The team believes in themselves so much, they’re willing to part with a 2014 draft pick in order to win now.
