Von Miller was accused of violating the NFL drug policy and was suspended for four games. He vehemently denied the allegations and pressed forward with an appeal. During that time his suspension was mysteriously increased from four games to six and it was unclear why. Well now we know. Read more after the jump.
This is almost irrelevant at this time. We all knew already that Ryan Braun was taking PED’s when he accepted his 65 game suspension last month. Many people knew Braun was taking them back in 2011, when he won the MVP, and got lucky when his failed drug test was dismissed on a technicality. So him admitting it now is pretty much just to try and save face as much as he can. This should of been done a couple years ago. Hit the jump to see his full statement about it. As you read it, do you feel he is actually sorry or just doing it for fanfare?
There have been rumors all week long, that baseball is about to come down with suspensions this week with all the players thought to be involved in the Biogenesis clinic, which was providing PED’s to reportedly many players. Ryan Braun already came face to face with the embarrassment and admitted his guilt. Baseball suspended him for 65 games, which was actually the rest of the season for the Brewers. Many people speculate the reason he got that punishment was because he accepted his suspension and chose not to fight it by being honest about it. Otherwise it could of even been worse, which leads us to Alex Rodriguez. Hit the jump to see what the commissioner of baseball might be planning when it comes to A-Rod.
I am utterly disgusted with Ryan Braun. One lesson my pops always taught me was at anytime your past can catch up with you. Well today, Braun’s past caught up with him in a major way. MLB has suspended him for the rest of the 2013 season, which will cost him about $3.4 million dollars, for violating the leagues drug policy. The fact of him being suspended actually is not a big surprise, especially in baseball where it seems like players are caught cheating left and right. The big disappointment in this situation is the way this man carried on over the past 2 seasons after failing, and then being cleared in a previous drug test that was taken in 2011.
