It’s no secret that Paul Pierce had a difficult time after being traded from the Boston Celtics to the Brooklyn Nets.  Pierce was drafted by the Celtics in 1998 and spent 15 seasons with the team.  His contract expires at the end of the season which would give him a chance to return home.

Paul Pierce and the 12-21 Brooklyn Nets have not yet enjoyed the success this season that they hoped for, but Pierce did set an impressive personal milestone as the team took on the Cleveland Cavaliers.  In fact in his past five games, Pierce is averaging 15.8 points on 42.6 percent shooting. He has played very well since being moved from the 3-spot to the four.

The NBA announced Tuesday that Nets forward Paul Pierce has been fined $15,000 for “making excessive and unnecessary contact” when he clotheslined Pacers guard George Hill during Brooklyn’s 103-86 home loss to Indiana on Monday.
