The rap game has been incomplete ever since Remy Ma got charged back in 2008 for shooting a female in the stomach. After a long six and a half year bid, July 31st is finally here and Remy Ma is HOME! The hip-hop world as a whole has changed as far as femcees are concerned and everyone is interested to see how the Bronx bomber will react to Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea’s extreme come-up in the industry while she was away. People tend to dub Remy as the most talented female rapper, so she will either collab with her fellow women artists or it’ll be beef like the Lil’ Kim drama years ago. Raekwon fans probably wanted a Wu-Tang reunion when they saw him headlining for this years Brooklyn music festival. That was far from what they got. Keeping an ear for whats current Raekwon brought out Brooklyn’s hot new freshman rappers. Troy Ave, Papoose and Bobby Shurmurda were his guest. Troy Ave delivered with his hit single “Your Style.” The crowd wasn’t too hyped when “Hot N*gga” came on but that could be because it wasn’t enough authentic “hip-hop” for the same crowd that came to see Jay Electronica. Or it could just be because they weren’t expecting Shurmurda. Either way Bobby Shurmurda is here to stay for the summer. He is also rumored to have caught up with Jay-Z backstage.
Remy Ma Ready To Come After 6-Year Sentence!
Papoose is ecstatic, his wife Remy Ma is expected home next month on July 21st and has nothing but good things to say at this moment. “Yeah, she’s in great spirits, man, I’m real happy to see her like that, you know what I’m saying?” he said to XXL on May 13, which happened to be the couple’s anniversary. “I love the spirits that she’s in right now, and I’m just happy for her right now, man. She’s in great spirits, man.” Pap is ready for her! But will Hip-Hop be as welcoming as he is?
