Good gawd!! Drake is just killing it!!! It never amazes me what sneakerheads will pay for some kicks, but got damn!!! In case you missed it — during “Drake Night,” Drake gave away a pair of unreleased OVO Air Jordan 10s to two lucky fans. Well now one of those fans are selling the special Jordans on ebay and she is about to be rich!! There’s 4 days still left on the auction, but you’re not going to believe where the price is at. Check it out…
Drake has long pronounced his love for the late Aaliyah, tattooing the singer’s face on his back and wearing an earpiece baring her image during all of his shows. Back in the summer of 2012, Drizzy dropped a song featuring unreleased vocals from her, and revealed that soon, an entire collaborative album with himself and unheard music from Aaliyah would be released. Plenty of delays and negative comments from people close to her and not so close (like fans) later, the project has been officially kicked to the curb. OVO’s in-house producer Noah ’40’ Shebib dropped the news in a new interview with Vibe, saying, “The world reacting to Drake’s involvement so negatively, I just wanted nothing to do with it. Ultimately, I wasn’t comfortable and didn’t like the stigma.” “We released [‘Enough Said’], but I was seven songs deep,” the producer added. “[Aaliyah’s] mother saying, ‘I don’t want this out,’ was enough for me. I walked away very quickly.” Damn, I wanted to hear this!
The Toronto Sun is reporting that the Raptors are in the middle of a revival of the franchise and looking to go in new directions. Part of that was hiring Drake as a consultant to give them a different image. Drake is looking to add his own imprint by wanting them to change the colors from black & purple to black & gold. Those colors are associated with his OVO brand. I have always liked the Purple & Black combo, but change couldn’t hurt. It’s not like anyone has been paying much attention to them anyway. New jerseys could be ready for next season.
Drake drops a couple of verses on Soulja Boy’s “We Made It”. Take a listen after the jump!
