Melissa McCarthy is designing her plus-size clothing line called Pearl. Rumors have it that when she asked fashion designers to dress her for the Oscars they all said No. Now she is creating her own clothing line where plus-size women would never be turned down.McCarthy hopes Pearl will help women “feel good about themselves,” while also providing some much-needed options in the plus-size clothing market.

Andrew Garfield is blaming Oscars producers for devastating 5-year-old Batkid. The little one was supposed to make a surprise Academy Awards appearance with the “Spider-Man” star was 86d at the last minute. He claims he didn’t bail on the boy, but the little one did NOT get to go. There are reports Garfield “threw a tantrum when producers rejected the script he wrote for the presentation — and left 5-year-old Miles Scott high and dry” but reps for the actor say, it’s not true. The reps say “Garfield DID contribute to the presentation script, but he had nothing to do with the segment getting yanked from the broadcast.” They say Garfield and Scott did the dress rehearsal Saturday without a hitch and it even made people CRY but hours later, Garfield was informed through email that the segment didn’t fit with the tone of the show … and therefore had to be cancelled. To make it up to Batkid who was terribly sad about it — Garfield brought him to Disneyland on Monday & even conducted a mini Oscars ceremony in Scott’s hotel room. They even wore a tux! So CUTE! The pair have been together for some time now, and are reportedly very much in love and very supportive of each other’s careers. Too cute!
