The Texas Longhorns are one of the top programs as far as talent and pride go. While every school has their fans, the Longhorns pack the stadium and hold up their horns (fingers), while decked out in burnt orange. But after an upset victory over the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, it was the team who caught our attention.


(Video/Photos) NCAA: Racist Fraternity at OU Sparks Outrage & Protest From Sooners Football Team

Last night video surfaced and went viral of a chapter of the fraternity Sigma Alpha Epilson (SAE) at the University of Oklahoma singing a racist chant.  The video shows a group of white students on a bus singing “There will never be a ni**** in SAE. You can hang him from a tree, but he can never sign with me.”  As the video spread, so did the outrage.  Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s national chapter shut down the Oklahoma chapter Sunday night, suspended all of the chapter’s members and threatened to remove those responsible from the fraternity for life.  OU’s president David Boren denounced the behavior and the students were escorted from their fraternity house under heavy security.  Not only have many students and activists spoken up, members of the OU Sooners football team took a stand as well.


Oklahoma Sooners’ Placed on 3 Years Probation & Wins Removed

Oklahoma had about one quarter of its recruiting days this season taken away by the NCAA on Friday as punishment for committing major violations while the men’s basketball program already was on probation.  The NCAA Division I infractions committee reduced the Sooners’ recruiting days from 130 to 100 and also put Oklahoma on probation for three years, vacated all 13 wins from the 2009-10 season, took away one scholarship and eliminated two of the school’s 12 allowed official visits this year.  Read more after the jump. @Shay_Marie x @gametimegirl
