Mayor Bloomberg has announced that gas rationing, which began in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, will come to an end on Saturday. The system went into effect on November 6 to alleviate the heavy gas lines that were hitting the city. Bloomberg extended the gas rationing system since this week was a heavy travel week, not all of the train/subway stations are operating properly, and about 30% of the city’s gas stations are still closed due to the storm.
