Coming to surface is an arrest that took place on Thanksgiving day, when Cesar Baldelomar age 26 became the Harvard Graduate Arrested For Playing NWA Too Loud while driving in Hialeh, Florida. It’s reported that “Fuck the Police” came on his radio that day when Officer Harold Garzon said allegedly, “Really? You’re really playing that song? Pull over.”
The filming for the N.W.A. biopic is underway, and Ice Cube took to his Instagram to preview a little sneak peak. This particular scene is rumored to be a recreation of the 1992 L.A. Riots for which N.W.A.’s “Fuck The Police” became the unofficial anthem. Check out the photo after the jump.
After issuing a controversial casting call last week that came off slightly racist and misogynistic, the casting company for the NWA biopic “Straight Outta Compton” has issued an apology. Find out the whole story after the jump!
As the NWA biopic gears up in production, ex mananager JerHeller has come forward in stating his dissapointment in the overlooking of Eazy E’s son, to play the West Coast legend in the film. Heeler went on to expplain that this may have caused the tiff between Dr. Dre and Eazy E’s son. Check out his full statement here.
Previously reported that classically trained actor Marcus Callender would play Dr. Dre in the upcoming N.W.A. biopic “Straight Outta Compton,” it appears there have been some switches behind the scenes. That role will now be filled by Corey Hawkins, known for roles in films like Iron Man 3 and Wu Is Dead. Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson, Jr. and Jason Mitchell remain in their roles as Ice Cube and Eazy-E, respectively. We’ve also learned the F. Gary Gray-directed film’s official release date will be August 14, 2015! Can’t wait!
