Though the Philadelphia Eagles lost to the New Orleans Saints on Saturday night ending their postseason, this year was still a vast improvement. Quarterback Nick Foles took over as starter putting up incredible numbers and pretty much making it clear Michael Vick would not be returning to the starting position. Initially there were reports that Vick said he didn’t mind playing backup to Foles but I guess that was just for this past season. A new report says Vick is ready to move on.
Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly hasn’t been very forthcoming about who will ultimately be the Eagles starting quarterback. Kelly has basically been doing week to week announcements. While the coach doesn’t seem certain, shockingly quarterback Michael Vick has an answer.
If the Eagles are able to beat the Dallas Cowboys this weekend without Vick, then the answer to this question is YES! I know there are many people who have love for Vick and might feel it’s blasphemous to say he needs to go, but when you look on the field it starts to become clear. Now that Michael Vick has signed a new contract with the Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly says he will compete with Nick Foles for the starting quarterback position. The Eagles however also signed former Ravens practice squad QB Dennis Dixon to join the competition as well. Should those two work out Foles could become expendable but they’ll also affect his asking price. Read more after the jump.
