But offseason workout bonuses easily could be flushed away. ESPN obtained a copy of some of the biggest workout bonuses that players have, and whom this lockout will hit in the wallet sooner rather than later. Jets offensive tackle D’Brickashaw Ferguson has the biggest offseason workout bonus — $750,000 if he participates in 85 percent of the workouts.


NFL: First the fans, now Roger Goodell writes letter to all players

Two players will try to stay in football shape by playing the game — in the Arena Football League. Cleveland Browns receiver Rod Windsor signed with the AFL’s Arizona Rattlers on Wednesday. He follows the path taken by Dallas Cowboys receiver Troy Bergeron, who signed with the Cleveland Gladiators earlier this week.


NFL Talks Bans for Hits & Potential Rules Changes

Ray Anderson, the league’s chief disciplinarian, said Wednesday in a conference call that repeat offenders or players committing flagrant illegal hits will have a much greater chance of being suspended during the 2011 season.
