The New York Knicks have once again managed to piss off their fans after what just went down at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn tonight at the NBA Draft.
As the draft steadily approaches there’s always a player or two who comes out of nowhere and rises steadily on the draft board. That player this year is Kristaps Porzingis. He is the guy shaking up the top of the draft board — he’s got a lot of fans in NBA front offices. They see a guy already more than seven feet tall and incredibly long, who has shooting range out to the NBA three-point line, and who is a fluid athlete. The draft prospects did interviews today and Porzingis said something that had a lot of people scratching their heads.
The rift between Sacramento Kings forward, Demarcus Cousins and head coach George Karl have been well known for some time now and took new heights after Cousins appeared to throw shade at Karl on twitter. Well now its being reported that if Cousins is traded, the Knicks are at the top of his list concerning the destinations on where he wants to go.
There’s been reports about the New York Knicks possibly trading their No. 4 pick in the upcoming 2015 draft and now they have their first major offer. After a lengthy off-season contract dispute, the Phoenix Suns signed Eric Bledsoe last summer and he gave them a strong season — 17 points and 6.1 assists a game, he led the team in Win Shares (seven) and had the highest PER of any player on the roster at the end of the season. However, the Suns are shopping him around as we head into the NBA Draft Thursday.
Look at the comments from any Youtube video with LeBron James highlights and you continuously see the same word “travel”. Many people complain that James travels a lot especially during his ferocious dunks. Now that sentiment is coming from New York Knicks president Phil Jackson, who thinks basketball has lost its way, and he cited LeBron James when outlining the problems.
The Cleveland Cavaliers ended up with two former Knicks when they traded for J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert but they reportedly tried to get a third and it was another guard from the New York roster.
