NFL: It’s Official!! Ed Reed Signs New Deal With Houston Texans!!

The long awaited drama involving where Ed Reed would play football next season is now officially over. After spending his entire career with the Baltimore Ravens, Reed signed a 3 year/ $15 million dollar contract with the Houston Texans this morning. The Ravens have been a sinking ship ever since winning the super bowl. Numerous players have either been cut, retired or signed with a different team since the big game. Reed was rumored to be leaving because Baltimore didn’t exactly want to pay him as much as he wanted for a new deal. Read more about it after the jump.


NFL: Atlanta Falcons Get Even Better

For a team that didn’t need much help as it is, things just got even better for the Atlanta Falcons. Yesterday they signed former St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson. The deal is worth $12 million for 3 years. The Falcons made the NFC championship game this past season before losing to the 49ers, which should have teams in the NFC worried because this team didn’t need much, and now they landed the best running back available. NFL: Giants Make Hakeem Nicks Deal a Priority Over Victor Cruz

Yesterday I reported that Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz wouldn’t rule out a hold out in terms of negotiating for his new contract.  Well according to an ESPN report from Adam Schefter, the Giants have made Hakeem Nicks deal a priority over Cruz.  Read more after the jump.


NFL: Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew Says He Won’t Holdout This Year

Maurice Jones-Drew’s holdout didn’t work last time when he was fresh off a league rushing title. He knows a deal won’t materialize on the heels of an injury-shortened 2012.  Although he says he won’t holdout this year, he is hopeful for a new contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars.  Read more after the jump. NFL: Victor Cruz Wants a New Contract

The Giants better not let this guy go! We need him!  Victor Cruz hopes the New York Giants will rework his contract at some point before the end of the season. The Giants’ playmaking receiver is in the final season of his contract worth $540,000. He will be a restricted free agent after the season. GameTimeGirl


NBA: Deron Williams Wants to Sign a New Contract Before the Olympics Begin
