Basketball players are often compared to well… other basketball players. Apparently Nene plays a lot of old-school video games because he had a totally different comparison for Anthony Davis.

Nene’s bad decision last night against the Bulls became an even worse decision today. The NBA has decided to suspend the Wizards big man for game 4 against the Bulls for his role in the altercation he had last night with Jimmy Butler. That is a huge break for the Bulls and really puts the Wizards in a tough spot moving deeper into the series. One person who was pretty happy and made sure people knew it was Joakim Noah, as he trolled Wizards fans and media. Hit the jump.
Nene really costs his Wizards team big time last night and it might have an even bigger impact on the rest of the series against the Bulls. In the fourth quarter of a very tight game, Nene initiated a confrontation with Bulls Jackie Butler that led to Nene losing his cool and trying to hit Butler, which wound up with Nene getting ejected. Butler went on to hit a couple big shots, along with Mike Dunleavy going off for 35 points and it allowed the Bulls to pull a game closer in the series and make it 2-1 in the best of seven. Judging by how the game went, if Nene was in the game later on, the Wizards had a legit shot to win and take a commanding 3-0 series lead. With the ejection for fighting, it is possible Nene wll be suspended for game 4 which will make it that much easier on the Bulls to tie the series up and change the entire feeling of how things were going. The Washington Wizards clinched a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference currently holding the sixth seed. It’s very close however between the Chicago Bulls and the Toronto Raptors and there’s a chance the Wizards could face a tough Bulls team in a 3-6 matchup. After suffering a 96-78 loss to the Bulls last night in a game where they only had 26 points at halftime, the Wizards are hoping to get Nene back to give them some extra help.
It’s still very early in the season but the Wizards aren’t playing as well as many had hoped. They were without star John Wall for much of last season and were hopeful with him back and the squad they have now that things would be better. With a 2-6 record after a 92-79 loss to the Spurs, Nene had enough.
Russell Westbrook & Nene both got ejected last night in the 4th quarter of the Thunder/Wizards game. Check out what happened between the two. I’m sure fines for both are coming soon.
