The NBA’s new TV deal worth $24 billion plus the Clippers selling for $2 billion has caused a lot of talk about player salaries especially with new CBA negotiations approaching. The players have seen how much money the owners are bringing in and refuse to take less this time around.
NBA labor talks broke down on Thursday after negotiations got pretty heated. Â According to Billy Hunter the owners told the union they had to accept a 50-50 BRI split before they would even begin discussing the system. Â That’s pretty ridiculous. Â The small market teams vastly outnumber the big market teams and they’re pretty insistent on a hard cap and other “necessities” that will even the playing field and eliminate the loss of revenue. The NBA lockout negotiations just keep getting more and more confusing.  It’s difficult to figure out who to side with and who’s telling the truth.  Well according to Oklahoma City star Kevin Durant, he is looking for some concessions from NBA owners to help end the lockout.  Read more after the jump. @Shay_Marie x @gametimegirl
