Teams aren’t allowed to start formally negotiating with free agents until July 1, but as usual, that doesn’t mean behind-the-scenes talks haven’t taken place. The Suns are apparently close to re-sign Brandon Knight, whom they traded for at the deadline from the Bucks, to a long-term deal.

Marc Gasol will become an unrestricted free agent this summer and though most teams believe he will re-sign with the Memphis Grizzlies, they’ll still take a crack at him. One team that reportedly has absolutely no chance, is the Los Angeles Lakers and it’s because of the deteriorating relationship between the team and Marc’s brother Pau Gasol.
