Kevin Durant, along with Nas, made an appearance this week on the HBO show “Any Given Wednesday” hosted by Bill Simmons. During the 30 minute show, they covered a wide range of topics from Colin Kaepernick’s protest and how it will carry over to the NBA, rap beefs, KD’s move to Golden State and much more. During the speed round, where Simmons asked both Nas & KD questions for quick answers, we found out how KD feels about Lebron and the way he pushes him. We also found out he is jealous of how good Damian Lillard can rap and Durant was surprisingly honest about the hideous “Chef Curry 2” lows that came out earlier this year that were the subject of countless jokes.
Numerous NFL players have joined Colin Kaepernick in kneeling during the national anthem in protest against racism and police brutality against black people. As the NBA season steadily approaches, many are wondering if they too will join Kaepernick in solidarity. Golden State Warriors’ new star Kevin Durant along with Nas, who has been talking about these issues for years, both joined Bill Simmons on “Any Given Wednesdays.” Simmons asked Nas what responsibility does he think athletes and entertainers have in situations like this.
After teasing the video on his Snapchat DJ Khaled officially releases the visuals for his Nas assisted track “Nas Album Done.” The two hit the Bahamas and enjoy horseback riding, jet skis, cigars and of course the women. Dreams have just come true for Kehlani. The 21-year-old Oakland songstress has been announced as the opening act on select dates of Lauryn Hill‘s upcoming MLH Caravan: A Diaspora Calling! Tour, alongside Nas as well. Kehlani has long been a fan of Lauryn, even tattooing her face from the cover of The Miseducation on her arm. “if you know me… you know this happens to be the most special thing has ever happened to me,” Lani said. “Thank you Ms. Hill, thank you God.” Noname and Little Simz will also be on the tour, though none of the aforementioned acts will be on every date. Kehlani will join the shows in New York, San Francisco (her hometown crowd) and Seattle, while Nas will join the ladies in both SF and Seattle as well.
