IFWT Wishes Nas & Amy Winehouse A Happy, Happy Birthday!

September 14th is a very special day for numerous reasons. Not only was Nas born – who is one of the most legendary emcees of our time – but he also shares his special day with the late great English songbird, Amy Winehouse. Before Amy passed, the two were reportedly very good friends, hence their collaboration on “Cherry Wine (Remix)” and her tribute song to the Queensbridge native, “Me & Mr. Jones,” which appeared on her classic Back to Black album. Throughout Nas’ career, he gave us Illmatic, which is one of the most influential Hip-Hop albums to date along with helping pave the way for younger rappers to prosper.
