A whopping 32 minutes after Gucci Mane announced he was planning on changing the rap moniker fans have come to know him by for the last 8 years, he decided that wasn’t the best plan. Gucci told Twitter followers he’d be going by the name Guwop come July, but the overwhelming replies in his mentions told him otherwise! LOL! Check out his tweets in the gallery. NASCAR Probably Not Happy About This 50 Cent Tweet & Fif Almost Gets A Name Change?!
If you’re a NASCAR fan, you saw quite a bit of 50 at the Daytona 500 yesterday. He made headlines for a few reasons. Yesterday we shared the story of Erin Andrews ducking Fif when he went in to kiss her. The video showed up on almost every blog. 50 was very active on Twitter yesterday as he shared his Daytona experience, but one of his tweets cause a bit of a stir and he deleted it (you can see a few retweets in the gallery), but of course it was too late. We’ve heard the rumors for sometime now that the New Orleans Hornets are changing their name and logo for next season. Well today it was officially announced. NFL: DC Mayor Wants Redskins To Consider Name Change —What Do You Think?!
The mayor of Washington, D.C., Vincent Gray would like the Washington Redskins to reconsider their nickname. I’m not a Redskins fan, but I lived in DC for years and the Skins fans I do know don’t want a name change. I understand the change should be done to be politically correct, but I don’t think they are disrespecting Indians or the culture…BUT I am not Indian and I’m just speaking as a football fan. N.O.R.E., which is an acronym for ‘N**ga on The Run Eating,’ has announced he’s changing his name for his forthcoming album.
