Shaquille O’Neal will be enshrined in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame this weekend. He’s been looking back on his career in the NBA and like many others, he has seen how the game has changed. Small ball reigns supreme, and there’s a lot more shooters, even the “big men.” Many people say there aren’t any “true centers” anymore. Shaq says he’s the reason the NBA has turned into a jump shooting league.

On Friday the finalists were announced for this years Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductees. Retired commissioner David Stern was given an automatic entry to the hall while retired players like Tim Hardaway and more were named as finalists.

Reggie and Cheryl Miller are the first ever brother/sister combination enshrined in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. In fact, Cheryl was on stage presenting Reggie when he made his speech. That gives me a good reason to tell my favorite Miller family story, one Cheryl Miller first told to People Magazine back in 1982 and Reggie recounted in his 1990s book “I Love Being The Enemy.” Read more after the jump.
