FX Nabs The TV Rights To ‘Straight Outta Compton’

F. Gary Gray’s N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton was a box office success in its first weekend raking in $60.2 million, making bonafide stars out of the actors who scored the roles of Dr. Dre, Eazy-E and Ice Cube (Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell and O’Shea Jackson Jr., respectively.) Now a recent purchase proves the buzz will continue to live for some time to come! FX Networks has purchased the exclusive U.S. commercial television premiere rights to Straight Outta Compton, so we can look forward to it hitting our TV screens sooner than later once it makes its rounds in theaters! N.W.A. got their start in Eazy-E’s mom’s basement with a studio that they created – the one that they portray in the Straight Outta Compton. What’s pretty dope is the studio still exists to this day, and what’s even more dope is that Eazy-E’s son and Dr. Dre’s son still hang there. The guys allowed TMZ cameras into the studio over the weekend, and it’s really cool to see such a piece of history. Take a quick tour with the hip-hop heirs below.
