Congrats go out to Angie Martinez, whose memoir My Voice has debuted on the on the New York Times Best Seller list. The book, which chronicles her storied career, came in at number 7 on the E-Book Best Sellers list, and number 15 on the Combined Print & E-Book Best Sellers list.

Growing up idolizing Angie Martinez, I am SO excited to announce that she has penned a memoir about her life and career, My Voice. The book will be available May 17 (though pre-order is available now,) and will chronicle her life growing up in Brooklyn, becoming the Voice of New York on Hot 97, how she honed her amazing interview skills and more. “People might remember certain interviews or the time that I had to get on the radio and tell New York that Biggie had passed. Or that time I got on the radio and was mediating this problem between R.
