Talk about a surprise guest. After pushing back his North American tour dates for what was at first thought to be because of immigration issues which have since been cleared up, Yasiin Bey, formerly known as Mos Def, returned to the stage tonight (June 27th) as a special guest for Dave Chapelle’s New York City comedy stint. So earlier in the week, reports swarmed the web that Brooklyn rapper Yasiin Bey, FKA as Mos Def canceled North America tour dates after being denied entry back into the states. The confusion was further confounded when Together Boston Music Festival, which Bey was suppose to headline issued a statement that indeed the rapper was struggling with immigration issues. An associate of Bey’s addresses the rumors inside!

The lyrical Mos Def, a.k.a Yasin Bey, has had to cancel dates on his upcoming U.S tour, due to immigration/legal issues.
