The Tau Kappa Epsilon frat from Arizona State University has been suspended after a bunch of ignorant and EXTREMELY racist photos surfaced from their “MLK Day” party. A bunch of white kids who were at the party posted flicks on Instagram wearing sports Jerseys, holding watermelon cups, and throwing up gang signs. After seeing this flyer, I almost lost all hope of the human race. HOWEVER, after word broke that this super disrespectful party has been canceled due to the backlash it received, my faith has been semi-restored. In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, MLK was photoshopped onto a party promo flyer wearing a huge chain with an obnoxiously large gold medallion while throwing up the “West Side” hand sign to promote a “twerking party” for the long weekend. Once Dr. King’s family gained word of this blatant disrespect, they were outraged. At least they’ll be able to sleep better at night knowing this party has been SHUT DOWN!
