Last week, Fetty Wap and French Montana announced they’d teamed up for a joint mixtape, Coke Zoo. In an exclusive interview with Billboard, French revealed the project came together while the pair were on the road for Chris Brown‘s One Hell Of A Nite tour, while also revealing the project’s artwork (above.) “When me and Max did it, when me and Three 6 Mafia did it — when I love a sound…it’s just something new,” French said. “We’re both from the East — I feel like it’s big for our culture. We kind of kept it in the team — you know, all the Coke Boys and all the Zoo Gang members.”
French Montana Announces ‘Casino Life 2’ Mixtape
French Montana is still working on his sophomore effort Mac & Cheese: The Album, but in the meantime, fans will be able to get more music from the Coke Boys rapper via a new mixtape. Announced yesterday, French will be releasing his Casino Life 2: Brown Bag Legend mixtape tomorrow, May 5. And though it’s “just a mixtape,” features include Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Migos, Rick Ross, Travi$ Scott and tons of other huge names. Check out the full tracklist in the gallery!
Mixtape Cover & Release Date: Juicy J – Blue Dream & Lean 2
Juicy J will be following up his popular 2011 mixtape Blue Dream & Lean with the second in the series, Blue Dream & Lean 2. Taking to Instagram to reveal the news earlier this week, the Memphis rapper unveiled the project’s black-and-white cover art (above,) and announced it will drop on Monday, February 16. Mixtape Cover: Lil Kim – Hardcore
Inspired by her classic 1996 album of the same name that introduced the pint-sized Brooklyn raptress to the game, Lil Kim will be releasing her Hardcore mixtape this week. It’s been a long time coming, considering she announced it way back in July of 2013, and was set to drop it last Halloween…but clearly, she had way more important things to tend to. Nevertheless, Hardcore the mixtape will finally drop on Thursday at 9:11pm EST, and above is the project’s artwork. Compare it with the album cover in the gallery!
