After being completely embarrassed at the Miss Universe pageant when Steve Harvey announced she was the winner and then snatched back her crown when he read the card wrong, Miss Colombia is riding out her time in the spotlight. It was recently announced that Miss Colombia aka Ariadna Gutierrez has just signed a deal to appear in the upcoming Vin Diesel flick, “xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.” Sources close to the beauty queen revealed to TMZ its no small part either. Gutierrez will play Diesel’s love interest. She will reportedly appear in six scenes and has three pages of dialogue. She will travel to the Dominican Republic Tuesday to begin shooting. The film is scheduled to come out in 2017.

Steve Harvey’s mishap last night at the Miss Universe pageant certainly made for good TV and social media gold, but it also caused some very emotional moments for the contestants. Though she kept her composure like a true professional on stage, Miss Colombia definitely shed some tears as she got backstage and took in the moment. If you’re unaware, Steve accidentally crowned Miss Colombia as the winner, then had to take her crown BACK and give it to the rightful owner, Miss Philippines. So awkward! In between tears, first runner-up Miss Colombia insisted she was “happy,” and added that “everything happens for a reason.” Ugh, I feel for her! Check out the emotional moment below.
