For much of Kevin Martin’s career he was a starter and important piece to his team. Last year with the Oklahoma City Thunder he took on the sixth man role and became a vital piece off the bench. Due to salary cap issues the Thunder could only offer Martin a contract significantly less than the Minnesota Timberwolves who he in turned signed with. Often players are faced with the option of taking less money for the chance to win a championship and Martin says he did consider doing that but believes the Timberwolves have a great young squad.
