This is not just a Shaqtin’ a Fool candidate, this one goes in the Hall of Fame. With less than a minute remaining and the Heat leading 101-100, Kevin Martin hit a go-ahead jumper for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Instead of simply inbounding the ball and looking to regain the lead on the other end, Norris Cole and Hassan Whiteside momentarily forgot how to play basketball.
The Minnesota Timberwolves trade for Andrew Wiggins and co. hasn’t paid off just yet (the team is very young) but they have seen glimpses of pure greatness from the rookie. On Tuesday night during the Timberwolves game against the Utah Jazz, Wiggins showed off his hops during this crazy dunk.
Okay I get it, traveling isn’t called very often in the NBA but this was an egregious miss by the referees. During the Minnesota Timberwolves game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night, Corey Brewer made his way down the court with no regard for the rules.
The Sacramento Kings beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 113-101 on Saturday night. DeMarcus Cousins came up huge once again with 31 points and 18 rebounds. The Timberwolves did have some positives however as rookie Andrew Wiggins had a career-high 29 points and added five rebounds and two assists. Shabazz Muhammad however may have had the highlight of the night.
Kevin Garnett was once the face of the Minnesota Timberwolves franchise. Now he wants to go back, not as a player but as an owner.
