Tonight was the premier of Michel’le’s movie ‘Surviving Compton.’ In the movie, Dr.Dre’s relationship with the singer was shown and it did not make Dre look so good. It detailed the abuse in the relationship that Michel’le had with Dre. Social media of course went in heavy on Dre for the way he treated her.

Michel’le Responds To Dr. Dre’s Threats To Sue Over Her Biopic

Singer Michel’le’s Lifetime biopic, Surviving Compton, will premiere this weekend. It will go through the Compton native’s career, while also showcasing her tumultuous relationships with both Dr. Dre and Suge Knight – the former of which is shown beating her in the film. Dre has since threatened to sue both Lifetime and Michel’le (with whom he has a 25-year-old son) for defamation, but it looks like she’s not worried!

The success of Straight Outta Compton opened the door for many other biopics, even more so for additional storylines related to N.W.A. Singer Michel’le falls into the latter category, and her biopic will make its debut on Lifetime next month. Surviving Compton will tell the story of the singer/songwriter, detailing her tumultuous relationships with both Dr. Dre (with whom she shares a son) and his enemy, Suge Knight. Singer Michel’le is best known for her 1990 hit single “No More Lies,” as well as her high-profile relationships with both Dr. Dre and his friend-turned-enemy, Suge Knight. With the renewed interest in all things N.W.A. following last summer’s blockbuster Straight Outta Compton, the singer has now gotten her chance to tell her story in a new Lifetime biopic. Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Me is set to “tackle the Los Angeles native’s journey through the turbulent days of N.W.A‘s stardom after being signed to Eazy E‘s Ruthless Records, becoming Dr. Dre‘s girlfriend and forming romantic ties to Suge Knight,” according to Billboard. Fun fact: the actor who played Suge in SOC, R. Marcos Taylor, reprises his role in this movie. Check out the first preview below, before the film debuts on Lifetime this October.
