(Video) NBA Throwback: Scottie Pippen’s Nasty Dunk on Patrick Ewing

I posted Starks dunk on Jordan and now Bulls fans get some revenge.  The utter disrespect of this dunk is worth remembrance. It was the 1994 playoffs and Michael Jordan was out; it was the first of one of his “retirements”.  Pippen showed the world that the Knicks wouldn’t have a cakewalk with Jordan gone.  Pippen not only threw down on Ewing he then walked over him which got Ewing pretty upset.  In the Knicks defense they did go on to win the series.  Check the video out after the jump. @Shay_Marie x @gametimegirl

(Video) NBA Throwback: John Starks Dunks Over Michael Jordan

There are so many aspects to this dunk that make it great.  All basketball enthusiasts know that Jordan and the Bulls killed Knicks chanpionship dreams during the 90’s.  Though we took some L’s this dunk was purely gratifying. It was during the 1993 playoffs towards the end of the game and it nearly pushed the Bulls towards the brink of elimination.   Starks a right-handed player threw down a left-handed dunk over Horace Grant and Michael Jordan.  Since then there’s been some discrepancy on whether Starks actually dunked on Jordan.  What do you think?  Check the video out after the jump. @Shay_Marie x @gametimegirl

(Video) NBA Throwback: Allen Iverson Crosses Michael Jordan

It’s pretty hard to make the greatest of all time look bad, but Allen Iverson did just that.  Iverson had one of the sickest crossovers in the game and this one against Jordan is one of the most memorable.  Check the video out after the jump. @Shay_Marie x @gametimegirl

(Video) NBA Throwback: Michael Jordan hits “The Shot”

Even if you were too young to watch it when it actually aired, you should still know about “The Shot”.  It’s the shot Michael Jordan took in Game 5 of the 1989 Eastern Conference First Round against the Cleveland Cavaliers.  The Bulls were the underdogs during this time after being swept by the Cavs 6-0 during the regular season.  Jordan broke free of the double team by Craig Ehlo and Lance Nance to inbound the ball from Brad Sellers, he then hit a jumper over Ehlo’s extended arm from the free-throw line at the buzzer to win the game 101-100.  It was Jordan’s first of many game winning shots to come and the start of many disappointments coming Cleveland’s way.  As Ehlo fell to the floor in despair, Jordan jumped into the air with an image that still lives on today.  Check the video after the jump. @Shay_Marie x @gametimegirl

NBA: Yikes Stephon Marbury Goes In on Michael Jordan, Calls Him a Sellout!

Michael Jordan isn’t exactly a favorite amongst the players anymore.  As an owner of a small market team, the Charlotte Bobcats, Jordan is one of the owners demanding a paycut for players.  Jordan even went as low as saying the players should only get 37% of the BRI (Basketball Related Income), the players received 57% last season so thats a 20% cut.  Jordan also wanted to cut the length of contracts and a hard salary cap.  Since then he’s eased up a bit but he is still a leader in a faction of owners that want the players to get no more than 47% of the BRI.  Some players have lashed out against him including Nick Young and now former NBA player Stephon Marbury.  Read more after the jump. @Shay_Marie x @gametimegirl

NBA: Wizards’ Nick Young Says He’s Never Wearing Michael Jordan Sneakers Again

Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl & DJJUANYTO Jordan’s stance as the leader of the hardline owners — even if he will not talk in negotiating sessions — led to some venom coming his way from players after the NBA’s labor negotiations blew up again Saturday night.
