Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas has filed court documents to change both her first and last name. The singer was born Stacy Ann Ferguson but claims nobody calls her by her first name anymore. According to the court docs Fergie is changing her first name to “conform to the first name which she is commonly and professionally known as, and has been for many years.” She has filed docs to change her last name from Ferguson to Duhamel after about four years of marriage. Fergie’s hearing for the name change is scheduled for August 16 and before that she must write a notice in the local newspaper for four straight weeks in order to officially become “Fergie Duhamel.” Fergie Ferg is not the first celeb to change their legal name, Miley Cyrus and Metta World Peace (formerly known as Ron Artest) have done so as well.
