Dave Joerger and the Memphis Grizzlies parted ways after he reportedly was seeking permission to interview with other teams for the second time in three years. The Kings were among those teams and things progressed quickly after he was fired.

Stars Marc Gasol and Mike Conley are out as well as their potential backups Brandan Wright and Mario Chalmers, who was cut from the team after his season-ending injury. Unfortunately for the Grizzlies, their first round in the playoffs is against the one of the best teams of all-time, the San Antonio Spurs who beat the Grizzlies by 32 points in game 1 and 26 points in game 2. That’s the second-most lopsided first two games in first-round history. Matt Barnes had an interesting explanation of what’s going on.
