Last year, the return of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise attracted a majority of ’90s kids to theaters around the world. The action-packed reboot of the iconic comic book series racked up nearly $485 million when the film premiered July 29th, 2014. Not long after the film’s release, Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon announced that a sequel would be ready by 2016.
