Norman Seabrook, until this morning was the President of the New York City Correction Officer’s Benevolent Association. He was arrested in his Bronx home on federal fraud charges, after 21 years of service. Seabrook was a corrections officer since 1985.
Many people are outraged after the latest controversy surrounding Donald Trump. The unlikely presidential candidate stated that he could shoot someone and he wouldn’t lose voters. After the news reported that there would be no indictment in the death of Eric Garner, many became immediately outraged. Protests had taken place from New York’s Union Square to Time Square, and I’m sure it will not stop. With New York City in an uproar, de Blasio discusses his personal opinion on Hot 97’s Morning Show. “We lost a good man in Eric Garner that should not have been lost,” de Blasio says. “We’re are going to make a series of changes, so we don’t have to have tragedies like these any more.” Hit the jump for more.
This past Monday NYC Mayor Bill De Blasio signed a Bill that will lower NYC speed limit to 25 Miles Per Hour. The law will affect most NYC streets and begins on Friday November 7, 2014.
