Egypt has had a rollercoaster ride for the past two years, overthrowing a dictator, then overthrowing an elected President when they weren’t satisfied with him either. It’s now come down to the people versus the government, and civilians are coming out in record numbers to protest peacefully. Unfortunately, the armed forces have taken it into their hands to clear these sit-ins by firing at the masses and killing scores of Egyptians. These enraging actions have already been condemned by the United States, who ask the government to respect peaceful assembly and due process under law. Sandy Hook Elementary which was site for the massacre of young students and faculty back in December in Newton, Conneticut is being torn down according to CNN. The Sandy Hook Task force voted unanimously to recommend to the Newtown, Conneticut school board to bring down Sandy Hook Elementary and rebuild a new school hoping that this will be a fresh start for the school.
Movie Theater Where “Dark Knight” Shooting Took Place Is Set To Reopen Today
The movie theatre that went down in history afrer James Holmes tragically killed numerous people at the midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises last July will be reopening tonight under a new name. It will kick off with a private ceremony for victims, first responders and officials. It has changed the name from Aurora’s Century 16 to Century Auruora, and tomorrow will open to the public for the night, and then permanently on January 25th. Do you think they should reopen? Woman Is Completely In Love With James Holmes?!?
I am sure you are well aware of who James Holmes is, the man responsible for the Aurora,CO shooting, has fans. That’s already absolutely hard to believe, but it’s true. Now a woman has come forth to admit that looking at a pic of his face makes her feel at ease. Misty Benjamin has showed up to his hearings with her dyed an orange color like he wore the day of the shooting. According to reports she loves him and believes he is not a bad man only what he did is bad. I truly wonder how healthy her mind is, since she claims to be in love him although many hate her for saying so and she has not ever met him. Steph B
NRA Breaks Silence One Week After Newtown Massacre, Says We Need More Guns
One entire week after the horrific, tragic events that happened in Newtown, CT, the NRA has finally broken their silence. I have been waiting for them to release a statement in which they would try to convince us that guns aren’t bad for people to have. Granted, “guns don’t kill people, people kill people,” there’s no way any can justify the need for assault weapons to me. I fully stand being VP Biden and his moves to ban assault weapons. Back to the topic at hand, in true NRA fashion, they stated that we need more guns saying, “the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.” NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre bashed the media during his speech and went on to say that schools need armed guards. Although I do agree the schools need more security, I’m not sure an armed guard is any solution. What if a madman overpowers the armed guard, grabs his gun, and starts shooting? In the wake of the tragic shootings in Newtown this past Friday, singer Ke$ha’s top-charting single “Die Young” plummeted off radio charts after TONS of stations have decided to pull the song. Lyrics like, “Let’s make the most of the night like we’re gonna die young” are obviously some sensitive material in this time of mourning. Now, Ke$ha has taken to Twitter to respond to the issue.
