Marquette University avoided a very big upset loss by hitting a layup at the buzzer to defeat Davidson 59-58 yesterday in the second round of the NCAA tournament. Marquette, the #3 seed in that bracket, was a heavy favorite over #14 seeded Davidson, but they got all they could handle from the underdogs.
