Joe Budden Responds To Nicki Minaj x Meek Mill Controversy On I’ll Name This Podcast Later Episode 21 + Ebro In The Morning

Joe Budden caused some waves with Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill when he commented on their relationship on last week’s episode of his weekly podcast, resulting in a bit of a “Twitter beef” over the weekend. This week’s episode is now out, and of course he addresses the situation! If you missed it, Joe also addressed it on Ebro In The Morning before the podcast. “This is what happens on podcasts, you half-heartedly speak on things that might be a hot topic, right?” Joe said to Hot 97. “The camera guy just showed a lot of shots of Meek blissfully smiling in love. I thought that was interesting. I thought it was funny.” We go into more depth on I’ll Name This Podcast Later episode 21 below. But note – this was recorded BEFORE Meek’s reply this morning during an interview. No word whether Joe will change his tune. Subscribe on iTunes here!

Behind The Lyrics: Lil Wayne Admits To Botched Suicide Attempt As A Child On “London Roads”

Lil Wayne has long recounted a story of “accidentally” shooting himself when he was 12, playing with a 9 mm handgun. Thankfully, an off-duty cop was around to help young Tune, and he survived to become the rap star he is today. Apparently, that wasn’t the whole story, though! On “London Roads”, a song from his newly-released Free Weezy Album, Wayne revealed that the shooting was no accident.

“Ms. Cita I remember goin’ in your gun drawer Puttin’ it to my chest and missin’ my heart by centimeters, oh Lord I remember dyin’ on her room floor And wakin’ up in some police’s arms He died recent, so I hope heaven made more room for him And I hope he see me, cause if he didn’t save that lil boy there would be no Weezy oh Lord”
