I wish this story would disappear the same way Te’o disappeared during the BCS title game. Pow! Zing! But seriously I am so fed up with the coverage this guy is getting from the media. I hope everyone realizes at the end of the day if he winds up being part of the hoax it really doesn’t mean anything. No laws were broken and no rules were violated. Worst case NFL teams will think twice about him, which I am sure they already are doing. We are basically covering an over-hyped linebacker who I am expecting will not be anymore than an average NFL player. But, news is news and there is a new update to this story with a twist. Ok people! Today the interview with Manti Te’o and Katie Couric airs and after that I am hoping this story goes away!!! But for now, of course the story has taken another turn. SMH. The lawyer for the man who has been identified as behind the hoax, Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, told the New York Daily News that his client disguised his voice and assumed the identity of Lennay Kekua to try to develop a relationship with Te’o.
