“He took all my beats,” claimed Flying Lotus in a recent interview. It was said when he was asked about his very own Captain Murphy album (FlyLo’s rapping alter ego) — which was put on hold. FlyLo explained by saying, “We’ve been working on stuff together. I went on tour and he recorded to a bunch of my songs. I don’t know if he’s gonna use them or not, but he recorded a bunch of stuff, which is why there’s no Captain Murphy album out yet.” Read more after the jump.

The Los Angeles probation committee seems to think that Chris Brown is handling things the way he is suppose to be. The positive message was passed on to the judge and due to the good probation report, offered Chris some kudos. Since his release from jail, all of the “Loyal” singer’s drug tests have shown a negative result. Thug Life: Shots Fired From Drive-By Right Outside Of N.W.A. Biopic Filming!
The filming for N.W.A.’s upcoming biopic has already kicked off in South Central, Los Angeles (it’s only right.) As the crew was filming inside of the Compton Courthouse, shots rang out outside of the location and according to eyewitnesses, it was the REAL deal (NOT actors.) Although the police do not believe the shooters were targeting the filming crew, a nearby civilian did get hit by the gunfire and collapsed. Luckily, the victim survived. The filming will resume this week in yet another rough area of Compton although members of the crew are worried for their safety. The shooting is still under investigation by the L.A.P.D.
