Two officers were shot and seriously wounded in Americus on Wednesday morning. As a safety precaution, Georgia Southwestern was shut down. The shooting took place around 10:15am.

The U.S. Capitol and the White House are currently on lockdown after reports of gunshots fired at the Capitol Visitor Center. Congressional staffers were alerted to lockdown and move to sheltered areas. People outdoors were told to “seek cover away from the area.”

This seriously needs to stop, like yesterday. Connecticut police reported a call from a gunman himself claiming he was headed to an elementary school armed with a rifle and ready to kill children. Literally a few minutes later, two more calls came in from unidentified sources stating that their were bombs at two high schools as well. The sources were apparently “unverifiable” but no risk were taken as police shutdown seventeen schools near the area.
The White House Takes Security Precautions After A Drone Crashed Nearby
After the 9/11 bombings in 2001, the government has taken precautions against flying in certain areas of the nation’s capitol. Though they are prohibited as a part of these precautions, a small drone landed near the White House, early Friday morning.

No shooting has occurred, but the officials of Central Conn. State University has advised all on-campus students to stay locked in their dormitories. A suspicious person has been reported, but as of yet no one has been located. The masked man with a gun, or a man wearing camouflage and carrying a knife, was seen spotted, but that has not been confirmed by police. Hope it’s just a false alarm. Developing: North Carolina A&T University Shut Down After Man With Rifle Seen On Campus
The North Carolina A&T University campus has been shut down after a man was spotted carrying a rifle. Middle College at A&T and The STEM Early College at NC A&T are also shut down. The university has announced that no shots have been fired. Everyone on campus was advised to lock their doors, windows, and stay inside. The man is about 5’11” and is wearing blue jeans, hat, and jacket with a white tee shirt. We will have more on the situation as it develops.
