According to the Def Jam website, so far for the 30th Anniversary concert line-up, set to perform are: Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, DMX, Fabolous, Foxy Brown, Jhené Aiko, Onyx, Method Man, Redman, Ashanti, Ja Rule, Warren G, EPMD, and Jeremih… Did someone forget to add the legendary LL Cool J to the list OR was he purposely left out? Hopefully Mr. Cool J will be performing as a SURPRISE but as of now, we still don’t know! Stay tuned for the Def Jam concert on October 16th at the Barclays Center.
LL Cool J has been away from the music scene for the past few years and since the top of 2014, he has been releasing new material sparingly. Now, as he preps his G.O.A.T. 2 album for later this year, he drops something new, giving us his take on Tinashe’s breakthrough hit ‘2 On’.
LL Cool J is currently working the G.O.A.T. 2, a follow up to his 2000 album, and did an exclusive interview with Fox Network to promote his new project. The rapper invited up and coming DJs for a private listening party and spoke on collaborating with buzzing street rappers, including Murda Mook and Loaded Lux. LL said he wanted to “help the next generation” and give unsigned rappers a chance to take their craft to the next level. To check out the interview, click below.
